Summer Camp

Summer Camp 2019

I hope that everyone has been enjoying Winter break from school. While it may seem early to think about it, many families are already putting their summer plans into place. I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that the troop has plans to attend summer camp at Camp Resolute again this summer. More information will be forthcoming, but I wanted to let everyone know about the dates and costs.

We will be attending as a group during Week #4 - Sunday July 28th through Friday, August 2nd

The “early bird” cost for the week is $425. After May 15, the cost goes up to $450. There is a reduced rate of $325 for siblings or for additional weeks of camp.

For scouts new to the troop : summer camp is a resident experience, but the adult leaders from our troop stay over as well. So there is a familiar element for the scouts. I will be there the entire week and Mr. Jackson will also be there for a majority of the time. If you have any questions about camp, please reach out to me, Mr. Spivack or to Mr. Jackson. Much more information can also be found on the Mayflower Council website at https://www.mayflowerbsa.org/camping/summer-camp/resident-summer-camp/

Troop 1775 firmly believes that summer camp is an experience that all scouts should be able to enjoy. If there are financial considerations, there are camperships both from Mayflower Council and from our troop. If you have any concerns in this area, please reach out to me or to our committee Chair - Gary Weinman - and we will make sure your son can attend camp with us.
